Make a story block. Draw or cut out pictures and paste them
on all sides of an empty milk carton. Let your child tell stories by turning
to the different pictures. |

Plan a "TV Blackout" night. Instead of watching TV, read
aloud or play games with your child. |

Make Valentines and send them to special friends. Either
use purchased cards or make your own out of colored paper. Let your child
write or trace his or her name on each. |

Cut five different sizes of hearts out of paper. Mix them up and place them in a pile. Let your child line up the hearts from smallest to largest. |

Now create a poem or story using the four "B" words. |

Teach your child the "Golden Rule" (treat others as you would
like to be treated). Talk about what it means and how it can be followed. |

Play the "Color Game." Point to solid-colored objects and
ask your child what the color of each is. Repeat the name of the color
and let your child guess the first letter in each word. |

Play "Search and Match" With your child. Collect as many pairs of shoes as you can find in your house Mix them up and place them in a pile. Let your child match up the shoes in pairs. |

child draw a "night" picture and "day" picture. Print the words "day" and
"night" on each. Let your child trace the letters. |
